Who is Mark Mulgrew ?
Born in Edinburgh in 1969, Mark's parents knew that he was destined for a career on the stage !
At Junior talent competitions, Mark was a regular, winning at many events and this gave him a taste of what it was like to perform on stage !!!
From a very young age, Mark was competitive and competed in the Professional Highland Games circuit around Scotland and was very, very well acomplished as an athlete winning the British 100m Youth Professional Championship in 1987 and the World Indoor Junior 50m Championship in 1988. Mark retired from the 'track' in 1991 and pursued his love for entertaining elsewhere ...... the stage !!
Continuing over the years with various talent competitions around East & West Scotland, Mark entered into a full-time Entertainment career in 1992 and travelled all over the UK singing in pubs and clubs and also promoting new products through shows for Scottish & Newcastle Brewers.
Mark's entertainment journey lasted for 4 years and then took him on a natural progression into Pub management and then into a career in Direct Sales.
However. even though Mark had kept his 'hand in' with entertainment over these years, he had never really filled the void between himself and his true love ........ singing !
After discussions with his Agents, Mark returned to the stage in November 2006 and now enjoys a very busy schedule touring the Clubs, Holiday Parks and Corporate Event circuit of the UK and Ireland.
Mark has now become one of the most sought after Cabaret Acts in Scotland and is widely regarded as Scotland's Top Male Vocalist. Mark is one of the hardest working Pro's on the circuit and whether it is a small and quiet gig or large venue bursting at the seams, Mark is renowned for giving 110% at every show.
Mark has also became a Radio Presenter with slots on Black Diamond FM. Black Diamond is a community based station for Midlothian and is staffed by volunteers. After being interviewed on the station, Mark has progreseed to presenting 2 regular shows .... "Wake Up With Mark Mulgrew" every Wednesday Morning between 7-10am and "Mark Mulgrew in the Afternoon" on a Thursday between 1-4pm.
Mark is also happy to be working as an Entertainment Agent & Venue Representative with Emkay Entertainments. Mark is solely represented in Scotland by the Agency and is happy to be working alongside the owners of the Agency to develop new business in Scotland
